Discussion about ferguson at Washington University

    I had the privilege of speaking with approximately 125 RAs at Washington University on Monday night.  We discussed the grand jury process and procedure at both the state and federal level as well as the structure of St. Louis County's municipal court system and the municipal courts in the independent cities that make up St. Louis County. 

    I am truly impressed by all at Washington University for being interested in the topic and for being as engaged as they were.  No, we didn't solve the problems in Ferguson, but we were able to have a very good discussion about the problems that exist and some potential ways to fix them. 

    I applaud Washington University and its students for deciding they needed to hear from a criminal defense lawyer and for being proactive to the situation at hand.  Great students and a very informative night for all involved.
